 gust 2026 EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs announced a NAM approach to
  assess the acute oral hazard of pesticides. EPA has concluded that the GH
 S mixtures equation can identify low acute oral toxicity pesticide formula
 tions and will cover points for stakeholders to consider when submitting t
 he GHS mixtures prediction to support the acute oral toxicity classificati
 on for pesticide registration.\n\nFollowing an overview of EPA's newly pub
 lished guidance on the use of the GHS Mixtures Equation for acute oral tox
 icity\, Kathryn Page (The Clorox Company) will present real-world case stu
 dies demonstrating how this approach can be applied in regulatory submissi
 ons. The session will highlight practical considerations\, common challeng
 es\, and lessons learned from industry experience\, helping attendees unde
 rstand how the guidance can be used to support efficient registrations whi
 le reducing reliance on animal testing.
