Photo-Human Cell Line Activation Test (coming soon)

The Human Cell Line Activation Test (h-CLAT, OECD 442E) measures upregulation of cell-specific markers (CD54 and CD86) involved in activation of dendritic cells. This key event is part of the adverse outcome pathway (AOP) of skin sensitization. In the photo-h-CLAT assay, two sets of cells are exposed to a dilution series of the test material and then one set exposed in the presence of UVA/visible light (5J/cm2) and the second set in the absence of light.
