In Vitro assays have been routinely used to identify severe ocular irritants and materials that do not require classification; however, methods for assessing intermediate levels of irritation have only recently been accepted for regulatory use. This webinar will review in vitro assays that can be used across various product categories, examine what exposure conditions can be used, and discuss what prediction models are available for predicting moderate levels of irritation. We will present on methods that can assign GHS hazard classifications as well as those that can provide information to rank formulations, guide product development, and support internal safety decisions to provide additional alternatives to animal testing.
