Airway Contractility
Airway smooth muscle contraction is triggered by many chemical (synthetic or natural) irritants and sensitizers. Airway area measurement in hPCLS using an image analysis software provides a useful tool to study the effects of various agents on airway contraction in normal or asthmatic human lungs.
