Client Services Representative

We are seeking a full time Client Services Representative to work in our Gaithersburg office. Looking for a highly motivated, organized, and detail oriented person to serve as primary liaison between the Institute for In Vitro Sciences and its clients.  A successful Client Services Representative will be resourceful, take initiative, and use their knowledge of basic biological sciences and understanding of laboratory tests and practices for effective communications with clients and internal staff. The Client Services Representative works closely with our sales, accounting, and laboratory groups.

Specific Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

  • Generate pricing agreements in response to client needs and Study Director requests
  • Assist in establishing new clients and entering them into our StarLIMS and Outlook system
  • Maintaining Outlook client database
  • Responsible for order entry and verification within StarLIMS. Close coordination with Laboratory Manager is required for this activity.
  • Logistical support for client visits and marketing events


High school diploma or GED with 2-5 years of office experience. B.A./B.S. degree in the biological sciences, experience in administration or client relations is a plus. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and basic knowledge of general database functionality. Good written and verbal business communication skills.
